Not only does Sherwood Power’s Free Air Battery [FAB] provide abundant electricity storage at a compelling efficiency, at the same time it also cleans the air we breathe.

FAB delivers green electricity with excess heat and cooling, for each MWh stored, 8.3 million litres of air is cleaned, 24 hours of clean breathing air for 1,000 people. A 4.4 MWh FAB system running daily delivers 1,500 MWh per annum cleaning 12 billion litres of air in the process, enough to provide 4,000 people with clean breathing air for a year. Installing FAB at 100 additional locations provides clean breathing air for 400,000 people for a year, every year, for 30 years, the air is cleaned to the highest international standard ISO8573-1:2010 Contaminants and Purity classes – class 1.
